Drawing The Upper Half of a Cat
With your pencil, lightly draw a rectangle toward the top of the paper leaving at least 3 inches of space from the top. Then, draw a triangle that is upside down in the middle of the rectangle. Below the nose, draw a triangle up right with a bottom curve going just below the end of the rectangle. After, draw the Kittens eyes any way you like. Cat's eyes are usually almond shaped. At the top of the head draw two big triangles for ears. Connecting to the head, draw two curved lines for the neck. Later, draw a half circle beside the left line of the neck. This will be the cats shoulder. Now it is time to detail. Add whiskers in the center of the face and three curvy lines in each ear. Draw small lines through out the cat's body and head for fur. After, color in a part of the cats eyes in a circular motion. Erase the bottom line that was connecting the rectangle. Once you do that, you have just created cat!
Drawing a Sleeping Cat
Start of with drawing a number two with your pencil. Next connect the top part of the number two with the bottom. Then it will look like an oval with a curved line inside it. Then add a triangle on the middle, left side of the number two. Next, draw a larger triangle at the top of the number two. Then, just above the bottom of the middle section of the number two, draw another small triangle. Then draw two curves above this triangle to be the sleeping eyes. Now draw to curves under the triangle for the cat's mouth. Near the middle right side of the number two draw a big arc for the cat's body. Draw the arc according to how heavy you want the cat to look. A bigger arc will make the cat look fat and a smaller arc will make the cat look skinny. Then connect the end of the two, with the end of the big arc. In the middle of the cat's body, draw a half circle with a straight line at the bottom of it. After, connect the rest of the bottom of the two with the bottom of the body. At the end of the body draw a curvy line for the tail. Now you have made a sleeping cat! Keep practicing and you'll become a master at drawing cats!
Drawing a Cat Standing up
To draw a cat standing up it is a simple task which requires only six tasks. The first step is to draw a circle for a head. Then directly underneath the circle draw a fat oval to make as the cats body. On the top of the circle draw two triangles as ears and two dots inside the circle to make the cats eyes. Now draw a dot in the middle of the circle for a nose, and draw a mouth connecting to the nose. Add whiskers and a curvy line at the side of the body for the tail. Draw any pattern you'd like on the body. You can draw stripes, dots, lines, or W's for tufts of fur.
If you keep drawing these cats in this order and remember the steps, you will eventually become a great artist at making cats, and once you master the procedures then you will find your way to detailing the cat.
