Funny Cat Pictures
Funny cat pictures may appear funny to you but what about the dog person across town? Generally, when a funny picture of a cat is taken
it just sort of happens and is funny to you because you understand the context behind the picture. But, to amuse others there needs to
be an image that can be unmistakable for what is going on. The photo needs to say everything so that even a dog person could understand
it. Funny cat pictures happen all the time, it’s just a question of making sure everything is in place to make the picture unmistakable.
Props
Almost anything will amuse a cat given the right circumstances. A bucket, a plant or a faucet will get the cats’ paws moving, or at least
draw a curious look. What happens as they check out the amusement is what can make the picture funny. Trying to generate a particular
expected/unexpected response is the trick. How far an owner is willing to go to get that reaction is the unknown element. Funny cat pictures,
after all, are the involuntary reaction to the unknown.
Water
Fear and the unknown, when it comes to cats, can best be found in any sort of water interaction, or the action of trying to avoid the
interaction. Not to be cruel in any fashion, but setting the stage for the cat to pursue its natural curiosity with the chance of water on
the other end has a great opportunity for humor. Funny cat pictures are sure to result when the chance of water is made available.
Children
Left alone children will ultimately find a way to be funny on their own. Add a cat into the mix and there is a fairly high likelihood that a
funny picture will result. Leave a small child alone with a ball of twine and they will find something to keep themselves busy. Leave a cat,
a child and a ball of string alone and the stage is ready for a shutter bug. In this instance the photographer can be fairly sure that humor
will erupt, it is just that he won’t know where or when or in what form. Funny cat pictures are the ones that are least expected.
Setting the stage
As much as a photographer would like to be able to plan a funny picture it will rarely occur. Cats are just too unpredictable. When something
does with a cat it happens fast. In some respects a photographer looking for a funny cat picture needs to be like a Wild West gunfighter. They
need to have the camera on the hip and ready to click.
From this perspective, a cat photographer looking for a funny cat picture might be wise to try finding a central location to leave the camera and
set up a few opportunities for the cat to get itself into trouble. As the people around the camera go about their day they should be aware of where
the cat is in relation to the funny opportunities. Generally, a person can use their instinct to feel when the cat is about to get into trouble.
It is just one of those things. Funny cat pictures stem from the photographer knowing that the cat just cannot resist doing something and knowing
it is about to happen. This is when the camera should be up and ready.
Be ready
Some cats like to push their limits while some are innocent bystanders. Whichever cat is around the house they are sure to get themselves into
situations at one time or another. Funny cat pictures happen at the most unexpected times so have the camera ready to click.
